Excited to announce that Bis Henderson Space will host the highly anticipated roundtable discussion: ‘The Great Warehouse Space Debate – Brexit and Beyond’ in London on 24th October 2019.
The prospect of a no-deal Brexit has focused corporate attention on reassessing the balance of risk to supply chains – the levels of inventory needed to secure supply, the costs of additional storage space, and the potential horrors of trying to find well-located warehouse space. Many believe this to be a short-term concern. But is it? There are many questions that need to be addressed if costs are to be contained and service levels maintained.
This senior peer-group discussion looks to explore the options available to businesses during this critical period of transition – before, during and after the event. What are the prospects of finding available warehouse space at this late stage? Are the costs prohibitive? How well located are they likely to be? What are the alternatives? And what are the risks?
Then there is the question of what happens beyond Brexit? We wish to gain a greater understanding of the big picture. Many aspects of life in the UK are changing the face of logistics, from smart cities, autonomous vehicles, and the environment to escalating complexity around customer service. What will be the space requirements post-Brexit? Where will stock be held? And have we availability in the right locations?
Plus, we’re pleased to announce Kevin Mofid, Director Research at Savills as the special guest for the discussion. Kevin leads the research function into industrial and logistics markets for Savills UK.
Along with Kevin, we’ll be joined by 10 influential leaders in the sector; providing insights and opinions from all angles of the industry including property, retail, third party logistics and more.
Sound interesting?
Watch this space for the detailed output from the discussion – due to be released early November 2019.
