Tell us a bit about yourself and your industry background
Adam: Prior to joining the Bis Henderson Space team as the new Supplier Relationship Manager I worked with TNT as an Account Manager, working with customers such as Tech Data who were the largest distributor in the United Kingdom for tech geared products by the likes of Apple, and spent over seven years in various roles with Advanced Supply Chain Company. These roles allowed me to work on client contracts as varied as British Home Stores, Primark, ASOS to name but a few.
The role with Advanced Supply Chain Company evolved into a Client Relationship Manager role that allowed me to work alongside new customers and businesses to integrate their operations onto the various sites they were working on. The final year and a half there involved a step up to Interim GM, where I was responsible for the entire operational site.
I joined Bis Henderson Space in March 2022 as AM, initially working for clients like Howdens and B&Q, moving into a focused supply relationship role, where one of my most enjoyable projects to date was setting up a new customer/supplier operation within 5 days. In addition to the role, I have taken the lead as an ISO champion for the business, assisting with our ISO 9001 accreditation efforts.
What attracted you to the role at Bis Henderson Space?
Adam: It’s obvious that we’re growing at pace throughout the business but what’s stayed constant throughout my time here is the tangible close-knit family feel to the team where everyone is truly involved in all business decisions. We’re growing all the time yet maintain that family feel. I’m still here because I can see real potential for further growth alongside my own ambitions to expand within the role.
What are you bringing to the role for your clients, prospects and/or suppliers?
Adam: My new role as Supplier Relationship Manager involves working with suppliers/customers proactively, ensuring we facilitate solutions for them at pace. This means that when an enquiry lands on the desk of the Bis Henderson Space team we’re ready to tell them what solutions we have and fit their requirements into a solution that suits them quickly. Unlike others we’re not a reactive team, we finalise and provide solutions to customers extremely quickly and that’s through having proactive relationships with our customer base. This allows us to understand what availability suppliers have & when.
We have access to space all over the UK & can provide all necessary details to meet a client’s requirements immediately. For instance, Bis Henderson Space will contract directly with the client, therefore ensuring there are no hidden charges while possessing the industry experts to assist with the lifecycle of the project.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Adam: I’m a keen sportsman and love my football-both watching and playing it. You’ve pushed me to reveal where my loyalty lies and that’s with Aston Villa. The other love that keeps me running around is my one-year-old son!
